The Turul Soccer Club, today known as Oshawa Turul Soccer Club, was founded in 1967 by Miklos “Nick” Springer. Oshawa Turul S.C. is now Oshawa's oldest competitive elite soccer club. The name of the club is rooted in Nick Springer's Hungarian ancestry where the Turul is recognized as a great mythical falcon. In 1998, Miklos Springer was elected to the Oshawa Sports Hall Of Fame for his contribution to youth soccer.
Two notable teams reached the pinnacle of success on the field by winning national titles:
* U12 boys in 1978

Today
