Oscar Orenstein

Oscar Orenstein (25 February 1911, Midland, Ontario - 22 April 1978) was a Canadian politician and artist. He studied art at the Ontario College of Art, The American Artists School in New York City, and elsewhere. During World War II he designed sets for the Canadian Army.
Orenstein has exhibited his work in New York City, Montreal and Toronto. While living in Schumacher he ran the Porcupine Art Gallery and the Northern Art Gallery Little Gallery.
He ran for mayor of Ottawa, Ontario, in 1972.
