Orange Massacre

The Orange Massacre refers to an event that took place on January 14, 1992 during which Roger Clay and his 4-year-old daughter were murdered during a robbery in the city of Orange, California. Despite the fact that there were not things of significant value in the house, when confronted by the family, the murderer (Jackson Baker) panicked and shot them both. The story received considerable media attention in the local area.

Jackson Baker
The murderer Jackson Baker, 20 years old at the time, was immediately convicted. He didn't have a history of violence and there was much speculation as to what the impetus of the crime was. The media casted blame on the angry music Baker had evidently listened to, including bands such as the Popscops.
