Only Fate Remains

Only Fate Remains is a Dutch gothic rock / metal band founded by guitarist Michiel van Veen.
History
The band changed its name early January 2011 from Trisomy to ONLY FATE REMAINS, after signing a record deal with UK based label Ravenheart Music Records for the release of their debut album 'Breathe'.
Biography
The Band
Only Fate Remains (former Trisomy) consists of six band members. Each of the members has its own musical roots ranging from rock 'n roll to black metal, but all share their passion for creating strong melodic (subtle) sophisticated music. The versatile background and the shared passion together melt into a group of highly motivated musicians wanting to share their creations with the world.
Genre & Style
Only Fate Remains stands for a combination of rock/metal with strong melodies, influenced by gothic, atmospheric, melodic and progressive perspectives, combined with the powerful, clear, rock voice of Eva Kokken. Because of this combination, the band clearly differs from other bands in the Gothic Rock/Metal scene. Bands in the scene that Only Fate Remains has resemblances with are The Gathering, Lacuna Coil and Evanescence.
Achievements
Over the years, Only Fate Remains received very good responses from the audience, other bands and magazines, seeing high potential in Only Fate Remains. With this Only Fate Remains has earned its rightful place in the scene. Their latest CD demo titled "V" has been downloaded over 30.000 times by people from over 100 countries worldwide.
In addition, Only Fate Remains won the Noord Hollands Glorie 2004 and reached as the only Gothic rock band in The Netherlands in the semi-finals of De Grote Prijs van Nederland - The largest national Dutch band contest.
Only Fate Remains performed at a lot of concerts (100+) in The Netherlands and abroad in many famous Dutch vernues like 013, Vera, Kade, P60, Mezz, Tivoli and festivals like Summer Darkness Festival. Only Fate Remains shared the stage with bands like THe Gathering, My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost, Epica, After Forever, Delain, Stream of Passion, Orphanage and Autumn.
