OneClimate

OneClimate.net is a social networking site devoted to the subject of climate change launched by Oneworld.net in 2007. Users are invited to share thoughts, ask questions and post videos and images. Although the site is not-for-profit, financial support has been given by Cisco and International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED).

OneClimate was established not only to provide the latest information on climate change, but also to encourage readers to log onto the site, leave responses and spark debate. It is also possible to create your own eco-profile; calculate your own carbon footprint; and set your carbon footprint target so that you can measure your reduction over time.

The OneClimate Island
OneClimate also has a presence on Second Life in the form of the OneClimate Island, which it intends to open up for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change between December the 3rd and 14th 2007, to enable people to attend virtually without having the carbon emissions associated with flying and attending in person.
