Her father, Les Brown, is widely renowned as the world's leading motivational speaker. Ona Brown was stressed the importance of family and values at a very young age and names her grandmother as one of her biggest inspirations. At only 16 years old, Chad, Ona's brother, had a tragic gun accident and was killed. The traumatic experience was a turning point in Ona's life and one of the biggest obstacles she has overcome thus far. Professional life Early career Although her intentions were never to follow in the footsteps of her famous father, Ona Brown was continuously mentored by her father, Les Brown, being taught the secrets of the self-development industry. After repeatedly declining offers to speak at different events, Ona Brown finally accepted an invitation to take the podium and, to this day, has not stepped away from the mic.
