Olga Pohankova (1979, Bratislava) is a Slovak documentary and experimental filmmaker, cinematographer, and visual artist. She studied cinematography and film editing at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Austria. She is particularly known for her feature documentary The Children of the Noon, awarded with the Best Documentary Award at the London Independent Film Awards 2017. The short version of the documentary film was broadcast by Rai 3 on 31 August 2017 within the Doc3 format. In 2013, with Diego Fiori, she co-founded Philosophische GEBILDE - Gesellschaft für die Bilddekonditionierung, an artistic association which focuses on the production of art house films. Olga Pohankova is a member of the Austrian Association of Cinematographers.
