Christian Filippella

Christian Filippella (born December 20th, 1975 in Benevento, Italy) is an independent Italian filmmaker who studied film directing in two of the most important film schools in the World, the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, in Rome, and the American Film Institute in Los Angeles . .

Biography
In 2000 he gained a baccalaureate degree from the Hippocratica Civitas Studium Salerni - University of Salerno with a research thesis in International law at the Queens University of Belfast. He was a recipient of the Erasmus programme at the University of Salamanca in 1999 where the following year he completed a Jean Monnet Master's degree in European community law .

Among numerous prizes in International short film festivals he was also awarded with the Philip Morris Award in 2003 and 2004, the Sergio Corbucci prize in 2006 and the Fulbright award in 2006 .

His short films were in competition in Cuba, Istanbul, Rome, Belfast, Madrid, Buenos Aires, Helsinki, Los Angeles.
