Ohio River Bearcats

The Ohio River Bearcats are a semi-professional football team based in Evansville, Indiana. The team is part of the Great Midwest Football League and their season runs from Mid-May to Late September. The Ohio River Bearcat's home field is held at the Reitz Bowl.
History
In September 2009, the Bearcats won their first Midwest Football League championship. In December 2009, the Bearcats made the decision to move their franchise to a more regional semi-pro football league, the Great Midwest Football League.
In 2009, the Bearcats qualified to play in the American Football News AA Semi-Pro Nationial Championship game in Homestead, Fla after going 13-0 and winning the Midwest Football League. Unfortunately, the Bearcats lost 40-12 to the Mid Ohio Jets.
