The Paterson Black Sox are an adult semi-professional baseball team based in Paterson, NJ. The Black Sox are a member of the MSM Sports Baseball League of NJ, which is based in Mahwah, NJ. The was created on September 1, 2003 by Scottie Vaccaro, who is currently the manager of the team. The team won their first, and so far only, league championship title in their first season as a franchise. The team plays most of their games at their home field, Larry Doby Field, in Paterson, NJ. Larry Doby Field is located at East Side Park in Paterson and is dedicated to the Hall Of Fame baseball player Larry Doby, who was born and raised in Paterson.
