Obinna Chilekezi

Obinna Chilekezi (born August 22, 1965) is a Nigerian poet, author, and chartered insurance practitioner. Born in Diobu, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. His works have appeared in various Newspapers and Journals, including Daily Times, the guardian and daily trust newspaper and other online magazines. He holds a post graduate diploma in banking and finance from Ondo State University and another from Times Journalism Institute and a PhD in Entrepreneurship.
Early life
Chilekezi was born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
Chilekezi lectures at the College of Insurance and Financial Management, West African Insurance Institute, The Gambia, Redeemer's University and The University of The Gambia.
He has made a name for himself in the literary world with his poetry collections, such as Songs of a Stranger at the Smiling Coast, my Gambian and Other Poems, and Moonlight Song. His work has appeared in various newspapers and journals, including Daily Times and Daily Trust.
Chilekezi holds a PhD in entrepreneurship and has over 30 years of experience in the Nigerian insurance industry. He's served as the Head of Research and Editor of the Nigeria Insurance Digest at the Nigerian Insurers Association. Currently, he lectures at , Ede, the University of The Gambia, Banjul, and the West African Insurance Institute, The Gambia.
