Nothing 2 Lose

Nothing 2 Lose is a dance song released and written by Ray Slijngaard, Anita Doth, & Jan van der Toorn. It is their second single released under the name Ray & Anita. The second single was announced through Ape Magazine on 14 November 2010, and was performed live at the "We Love The 90's" concert at the end of 2010. The announcement of Nothing 2 Lose shattered notions by fans that a previously performed track called Still Unlimited was to be the follow up single of In Da Name Of Love. Dutch DJ and Producer Chew Fu announced on Facebook soon after that he was working on a remix for Ray & Anita. A Sneak preview of the "Chew Fu Unlimited Fix" premiered on radio on 26 June 2011 to tease fans.
In mid July, Ray & Anita invited fans to join them in the recording of the video for "Nothing 2 Lose" in Amsterdam. Fans applied through email and were selected randomly. The video with the fans was shot on 28 July, which was Part 1 of the video shoot. Part 2 was shot the next day without the fans. The single was slated for release by the end of August 2011, but had been delayed. The single was also the lead track for the film soundtrack of "Amsterdam Heavy", which was released on DVD on 15th September 2011.
At the beginning of October the band manager released minor details about what to expect on the new single, claiming several remixes and a bonus track to feature on it. The official artwork for the single was released on facebook on 22nd October by the band manager, telling fans to get ready for the release the following week.
On 25th October a teaser video was released on Youtube with a 25 second excerpt of the final video. The single was released on the 28th of October via iTunes & Amazon. Different to what was told about the release details, the single was released worldwide through iTunes, and not just in The Netherlands, a change from the previous single In Da Name Of Love which was released by a Dutch label, and only released in selected countries around the globe. Only the radio edits of the remix single were released on the 28th.
Music Video
The video was shot over 2 days Rik Sinkeldam for TCF Productions BV. Day 1 of the shoot was with the fans, and was shot on 28th July at Pakhuis Meesteren in Rotterdam between 14:00-17:30. Fans were asked to be dressed in Burlesque & Clubwear for the shoot. This part of the shoot would depict Ray & Anita singing and dancing amongst their fans in a nightclub environment. Day 2 of the shoot was with Ray & Anita only, and was shot around Amsterdam including Het IJ, depicting similar locations to those shot in the movie Amsterdam Heavy in which their single was featured in. The final cut of the video shows short clips of the movie Amsterdam Heavy throughout the video featuring the former television host of TMF Jeroen Post, and American actor Michael Madsen. It also featured both Ray and Anita street fighting with actors from Amsterdam Heavy to keep with the theme. The music video was released on 28th October on Youtube.
