Not Possible IRL

Not Possible IRL (NPIRL) is an organized working group originally formed by subscribers of the virtual world environment of Second Life, dedicated to identifying and sharing information about content creation in virtual worlds, which would not be possible in Real Life: architecture, landscaping, art, animations, fashion, particle effects, building tools and scripts. It was founded on July 4, 2007 by Bettina Tizzy with a limited membership of around 160 members.

In the time that it has been active it has been a source for news about the activities of various virtual world content creators for both media representatives and users alike. NPIRL is also an art and architecture movement by the same name.

Several virtual world based journalists frequently cite NPIRL as a key source for news leads.
