North Rome Church of God is a Pentecostal church, which is part of the Church of God denomination. The church is located in Rome Georgia at 1929 North Broad Street.
History
The North Rome Church of God was founded approximately 91 years agoin 1919. NRCOG was the first Pentecostal church in Rome. Its current pastor is Harold L. Jones. NRCOG is part of the Church of God denomination, which is headquarter up in Cleveland, Tennessee. The church, much like many Churches of God was originally derived from the Methodist churches. The church is a Pentecostal church. They believe in the trinity Godhead, which is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. NRCOG is known as a family church, providing a ministry field for all ages and bringing the family into unity. Their goal is to involve every member of the families to their own preferred ministry.North Rome also has a daycare center that is open Monday-Friday.

Ministry Fields
North Rome Church of God has many different ministries:
* Children’s Ministry (Ages infant-12) is led by Vicki Baird and her husband Ronnie. The children’s classes provide services for the children on Sunday and Wednesday, where they have praise and worship time while also being offered lesson preached to the children. They also provide skits and puppet shows during the service to keep kids learning in a fun manner. They also nurseries during church services.
* Youth Ministry (Ages 13-18) is led by Trey Thompson and his wife Haven. The youth group is named Thirst. The youth ministries teach teens the elements of growing up in the world while having relationship with Jesus Christ. They also provide trips to places such Winterfest and Ramp for teens to enjoy fellowship with one another. The main goal for Pasto Thompson is to show and enrich the teens in Jesus Christ.
* College and Career Ministry (Ages 18-30) is led by Vicki Baird, Shevella Trap and Jonathan Paxton. The C&C class is there to teach young adults how to mature spiritually and to become adults. The class teaches on principles that will help them succeed in the life they have ahead of them and the challenges they may facer changing over to adulthood. Just as the youth groups, college provides annual trips such as skiing and rafting to bring everyone closer together.
* Women’s Ministry (any age) is led by Barbara Jones and is dedicated to building up women’s life with Christ while teaching the responsibilities of being Godly wives and mothers.
* Choir and Orchestra Ministry (any age) is led by Barry Garland. The Choir and Orchestra lead the worship services on Sunday morning and evenings. They also travel around singing at camp meetings and revivals.
Events and Outreaches
NRCOG provides many outreach programs such the Give a Kid a Chance program every year for back to school children. They also provide family orated activities such as the annual fall festival which is a massive outreach to the community. Along with these we also have a missions field outreach which is led by Marcy Ely. The trips take members to other countries to help assist and bring food, water, clothing, and other necessities needed. It is also a way to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to other world as well. NRCOG also has food, coat, and toy drive during the winter holidays.
Religious Beliefs:
NRCOG believes in the trinity God head. They also believe in divine healing and miracles. The gifts of the Spirit are also taught such as tongues and prophecy. NRCOG also believes in the ceremony of foot washing as a cultural significance. Baptism is widely accepted and encouraged also. The celebration of communion is also practiced.
