North Cyprus Free Press

North Cyprus Free Press (NCFP) is an English language online newspaper read by the Greek and Turkish Cypriot communities, foreign nationals in Cyprus and throughout the world. It is published whenever a newsworthy story emerges but there are usually several articles to read each week. It was founded in 2009 in response to a need for the independent reporting of local news stories.
One aspect of the newspaper's function is that it allows Greek and Turkish Cypriots to debate the articles. With the ever present possibility of a referendum being held in order to solve the Cyprus Problem this can considered an important function to help decision making.
Although a fledgling publication compared to other newspapers, it is listed on www.onlinenewspapers.com as an official Cyprus newspaper.
Readers are alerted of new articles using RSS feeds, for those who subscribe, through Cyprus44 Forum and via Twitter.
