Nogie Erewa Meggison (Lagos, Nigeria, 14 April, 1963) is a Nigerian aviator, business man, and philanthropist. He began aviation education at the Ross School of Aviation in Oklahoma, USA in 1983 and proceeded to the United Airlines Training Center in Denver, USA in 1984. Afterwards furthered at Donnier in Germany, UPS in Kentucky, and the Airline Training Institute in California. He speaks English, Benin, Itsekiri, Yoruba and Hausa. Early life Meggison is from Itsekiri in Delta state, Nigeria. His early education was at St. Louis Primary School in Kano and Edo College, Benin City (Edo, Nigeria). Career As a young pilot, Meddison started his career with Okada Airlines, Nigeria (then Executive Airline Services), Stanstead, and later Flash Airlines. He started a company (Trade Wing Aviation) in 1987 while working as a pilot. Businesses Meggison established Trade Wings in 1987, employing over 300 employees and with branches in 14 states across Nigeria. He was also a director on the Board of other companies which included N.E.M Trade Wings, Dawkins Management Inc, Jedediah Trading (Pty) Ltd, and Clear Blue Capital, LLC. Meggison was involved in the re-branding of Sheraton Hotels, Nigeria to "Sheraton Hotels and Tower", Nigeria. He was actively involved in the importation of many construction and fitting items like air conditioners, fabrics, carpets, bed-sheets, towels and furniture. Other similar projects are Sheraton Abuja and Sheraton Cotonou where he was involved in cargo importation of spare parts particularly "car engines". Trade Wings was the sole representative of over 16 multinational companies within the African region which included United Biscuits (Cities Biscuits), Danone Group (Evian water), AB Mauri (Mauripan yeast)], and others. When the Federal Government of Nigeria banned the importation of Fabrics, Biscuits and some other products in order to encourage local manufacturers, Meggison left the market and started an airline charter business and then airline cargo operations. Nogie Meggison is the present CEO of a Nigerian airline jedair and has partnered with other airlines over the years. One of these partnerships is the joint venture agreement he signed with canadian airline Voyageur airyways
