Nima Asgari

Nima Asgari (, born January 21, 1982) is an Iranian film director and cinematographer known for his environmental and wildlife documentaries. A graduate of environmental science from the University of Natural Resources, Asgari began his career as a researcher and cinematographer focusing on endangered species in Iran. His documentary Ranger and Leopard (2017), co-directed with Fathollah Amiri, won Best Film in the "People and Nature" category at the Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival in the USA (2017) and Best Independent Production at the Green Screen film festival in Germany (2018). He was also a jury member of the Matsalu Nature Film Festival in Estonia.
