Todd Dunphy

Todd Donald Dunphy, (born August 25, 1960) is an American martial artist, actor, and stuntman. Born in South Bend, Indiana, Dunphy became interested in martial arts as a child as he was an avid fan of Bruce Lee and the television series, Kung-Fu starring David Carradine. He traveled to California for the summers as a youth to take karate classes. Influenced by his older brothers who were already heavily involved in martial arts, Dunphy became dedicated to becoming a black belt in karate. At 17, he moved to California and completed his senior high year at Soquel High School in 1979. By 21, Dunphy was a first degree black belt. He began competing at 24 years old in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Martial arts
Dunphy is an 8th degree blackbelt in Karate, a 3rd degree blackbelt in Taekwando, and a 6th degree blackbelt in Dux Ryu. He has completed in over 50 tournaments domestically and internationally. Dunphy's first Sensei was older brother, Terry Dunphy. Dunphy credits his successes to him as he instilled a disciplined work and training ethic and would make him train over and over until he got the moves right.

Masters Hall of Fame, Recognizing Excellence in Martial Arts
Dunphy was inducted into the Masters Hall of Fame with a Life Achievement Award in 2009.
Film career
Dunphy's first major role, as a martial artist and actor, was in the film, TC 2000 where he played the role of a martial artist and stunt man in the Picasso Gang alongside Billy Blanks in 1993.
Dunphy's most recent acting role was playing, Cal Harris, in 2015 TV series, Gun Girl where he starred in 2 episodes.
