Leo Au Yeung

Leo Au Yeung was born in Hong Kong. Master Au Yeung started training in Wing Chun in 1995. His first Wing Chun teacher was Grandmaster Ip Chun. He has also been taught by Samuel Kwok and Sin Kwok Lam. After two years training with Grandmaster Ip Chun, Master Au Yeung came to England to study but still went back to Hong Kong to train every summer. Whilst in Hong Kong, Master Au Yeung trained 6-7 days a week attending all of Grandmaster Ip Chun's morning and evening classes. As there were many foreign instructors and students in Hong Kong wishing to learn from Grandmaster Ip Chun, Master Yeung (who could speak fluent English) usually acted as as his translator.
Due to this, Master Au Yeung not only learnt Ip Chun's style of Wing Chun, but also how it should be taught to students. Master Au Yeung did this for a number of years until he started working in Preston England where he began training under Master Samuel Kwok on recommendation by Ip Chun.
Master Au Yeung began to train under Master Kwok for 5-6 days a week, after 3 years of intensive training with Master Kwok, he became one of Master kwok's top students and chief instructor in the London area. Today Master Au Yeung still assists Master Kwok with seminars in different countries and he still goes back to Hong Kong to train with Grand Master Ip Chun.
He is well known, respected in Wing Chun circles across the globe and featured in many martial arts publications. Master Leo Au Yeung is also highly skilled in Hung Gar kung fu, Tai Chi and Chinese kickboxing. He resides and teaches classes in London, United Kingdom
In 2008, Master Leo Au Yeung was invited by the producers to choreograph the fight scenes for the movie of legendary Wing Chun pioneer Yip Man called Ip Man, alongside genre legends Sammo Hung and Donnie Yen.
Master Leo Au Yeung was selected to be the only appointed Wing Chun instructor to fight choreograph with director Sammo Hung in the movie, "Ip Man". He worked alongside famous action stars Donnie Yen and Sammo Hung. Master Au Yeung coached the action crew and actors in Wing Chun and advised on action scene choreography.
Following the success, Master Leo Au Yeung went on to again work with Sammo Hung in the movie "Ip Man- The legend is born" in 2009. Master Au Yeung has also been coaching and choreographing a sequel film starring Sammo Hung and Yuen Biao.
