Nicole Verkindt

Nicole Josephine Verkindt (born July 11, 1984) is a Canadian entrepreneur, best known for her work as President of GMA Cover Corp. and founder of Tiburon Ltd.. She is also the founder of GlassFrog, a non-profit organization.
Education
Verkindt attended Neuchâtel Junior College, located in the French-speaking town of Neuchâtel, for a one-year, pre-university programme prior to enrolling the Richard Ivey School of Business (University of Western Ontario) where she graduated with a degree in business in 2007. She majored in International Politics and received a certificate in Entrepreneurship.
Verkindt is fluent in English, French and Spanish.

Current Positions
President & CEO, GMA Cover Corp.- GMA Cover Corp. (GMA) is a North American manufacturing company that specializes in camouflage cover systems and signature management technologies. Verkindt assumed role of President and CEO of GMA in August 2010, after two years in her former position of Director of Sales and Marketing. Since taking on the position, Verkindt has diversified the business to include Disaster Relief and Commercial products.
Founder, Chairman and Owner, Tiburon Ltd.- Tiburon Ltd. operates under the DR-CAFTA in the San Isidro Free Trade Zone in the Dominican Republic as a low cost supplier to U.S and international clients. Verkindt founded Tiburon in 2007 after recognizing the unmet outsourcing needs of major U.S. military component suppliers.
Co-Founder and Chairman of the Southern Ontario Defence Association-S.O.D.A. was founded in 2009 by Verkindt in partnership with KODIAK GROUP Holdings Co. President Steve Hagerty. S.O.D.A. acts as an informal gathering point for local defence industry professionals to share ideas and challenges.
Founder, GlassFrog- GlassFrog is an organization dedicated to promoting transparency and accountability in the aid process while fostering a collaborative environment for users to create crowdsourced solutions to disaster relief and rebuilding efforts.

Humanitarian and Volunteer Work
Verkindt's volunteer work include time as a Special Olympics Ski Racing Instructor (2004-2007) and HIV/AIDS Educator, (2005) where she assisted in AIDS workshops and business development in the rural community of Surama, Guyana. Verkindt has been an advocate for relief efforts in Haiti, which suffered a 7.0 magnitude earthquake in January 2010, spending time on the ground in the disaster's aftermath and donating $100,000 in temporary housing units on behalf of GMA and Tiburon. Verkindt continues her efforts in Haiti and has formed a partnership with James Boulos, nephew of Reginald Boulos, and his company, Ultimate Haiti, in search of new solutions for the region.
