Nico Monetti

Giuliano Nicola Monetti (born November 26, 1988) better known by his nickname "Nico" is an American screenwriter, director, actor, and podcaster.
Education
In 2011, Nico graduated from Chapman University's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, in Orange County, California. While at Chapman, Nico was designated a Marion Knott Scholar and won a schoolwide screenwriting competition, leading to the production of his first festival-circuited short film "About A Broads, directed by then Chapman student Melissa Fisher."
Nico also holds a master's degree in Management from Webster University, in St. Louis, Missouri.
Filmmaking career
In 2010, Nico headed up projection on a feature film entitled "Sincerely Forever," which was filmed primarily on location in Sydney, Australia.
Web Series
While still in film school, Nico co-created a web series that is now hosted on Funny or Die, the popular comedy website created and maintained by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. The most recent episode of the show has roughly 30,000 views.
TriPolar Podcast
In 2015, after being expelled from law school, experiencing a self-described mental breakdown, and being diagnosed with BiPolar disorder, Nico created a bi-weekly "Mental Wealth" podcast, as a means to cope with his condition, as well as to work toward the overall goal of "de-stigmatizing mental health issues. Nico's diagnosed conditions include Bipolar disorder, , and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD).
In the episodes, Nico interviews various guests. Through his work, he seeks to better understand the link between genius and mental illness, and to inspire social change that will benefit humanity in some profound sense.
The show is made available for free on its website and iTunes, and has been featured in the mental health category of android podcast aggregator player.fm.
