Born in 1959 Nicky lives in Tenby, Pembrokeshire in West Wales. A keen writer of poetry since his early teens he shared his love of poetry with a lifelong friend Johnny Pendell. Influenced by Oscar Wilde, Dylan Thomas, Anne Sexton and Morrissey amongst others he has just published 'There is a light that never goes out' - A collection of Poems and Short Stories. The book is the collected works of Nicky Lloyd and his late friend Johnny Pendell who passed away in January 2006.
After battling against cancer Johnny Pendell was cared for at home during his last few weeks by the Macmillan Cancer Support Nurses. During this time Nicky visited him regularly and four days before Johnny passed away Nicky made him a promise. He promised Johnny that he would ensure that their combined collective 'Works' would be published and would appear in Book shops in their beloved home town of Tenby.
The book 'There is a light that never goes out' takes its name from Nicky's all time favourite song by his musical heroes Morrissey and The Smiths.
The book has been endorsed by Cancer Research UK and 10% of all proceeds will go to the charity.
