Nicholas "Nick" Efthimiou is a retired South African football player who played professionally for the Dallas Sidekicks in the United States. He is currently an artist living in Scottsdale, Arizona. College Efthimiou spent his freshman year with North Texas State, before transferring to the North Carolina Tar Heels as a sophomore. He remained with the Tar Heels from 1987 to 1989, and played 25 matches in his first season. Professional career After Efthimiou left college, the Dallas Sidekicks selected Efthimiou in the fourth round of the 1990 Major Indoor Soccer League draft, then released him during their pre-season training camp. He signed with the team in 1993, whilst they were playing in the Continental Indoor Soccer League. After football In September 1990, Efthimiou started Never Say Never.<ref name="nsn"/> Never Say Never sponsored the Dallas Sidekicks official practice gear in 1998.<ref name="kicksfan"/> He is also an artist, and he donates the proceeds from his work to charity.<ref name="kicksfan"/>
