New Bangla Academy Complex New Bangla Academy Complex was established in 19 September 2008.The purpose of this structure is to enlarge Bangla Academy and facilitate bangla language learning and understanding in a better manner.It is located next to the old Bangla Academy Building in Burdwan House beside Suhrawardi Udyan in Dhaka Bangladesh. Foundation This structure is the best chosen design of a competition in 2005.There were twelve other competitors, but Tanya Karim NR Khan and Associates outclassed those dozen by far.It is an eight storeyed building.It consists of two lifts,an auditorium which can accommodate up to 500 people called Shah Abdul Karim and a seminar hall which can accommodate up to 100 people.It has working space for above 250 people.The ground floor fits the auditorium,the seminar hall and parking space,currently it also has a library, but it is only temporary.Mainly the library covers first floor and second floor.The third floor holds secretary offices and accounts and planning on the fourth. The fifth is the department of establishment.The Sixth floor is language and literature department and seventh is research and accumulation department.
