Professor K. Gopalakrishnan is an eminent Indian researcher and critic. Born in a small place called Vellinezhi, in Palakkad Dist on the banks of Kunthi river, on September 12, 1932. Currently holds the posts of Vallathol Vidyapeedom Joint Secretary, General Secretary of Kerala Sahitya Samiti, Kavanakoumudi Bymonthili's Managing Editor. Retired from Malabar Christian College as head of the department of Malayalam. His effort in research on Edasseri Govindan Nair resulted in a collection of all his works, work as a great contribution to anyone who is interested in the Malayalam literature or its history. His other contributions include poetry, research on V. C. Balakrishna Panikker, and other essays.
