Nelson De La Nuez (born in 1959 in Havana, Cuba) is an American pop artist. Early life and career De La Nuez was born in Havana, Cuba and came to the United States at age seven, arriving in Southern California with his family in 1966. On December 2, 2009, De La Nuez delivered three pieces to Jackson's children that were ordered before his death. The artist has also designed for a number of brands, including ICON leather shoes, purses and accessories; men's shirts; and a wallpaper collection for both the hospitality industry and for retail sale by Designer Wallcoverings.
