Manuchehr "Manny" Khoshbin ( born in 1971) is an Iranian real estate investor, author and entrepreneur living in California, United States. Early life and career Khoshbin was born in Iran and immigrated to the United States with his family in 1985, at the age of 14. His first job was at Kmart at the age of 16 cleaning floors and collecting shopping carts and was later promoted to assistant manager of sporting goods. During his last year in high school, Khoshbin started buying dried fruits and nuts in bulk then prepackaging them in smaller bags to sell them door to door. Not knowing he is required to have a health permit for his business, he was forced to shut down after just eight months of being in business. He began working for Winston Tires as an assistant manager where he worked 60 hour weeks and saved most of his paycheck. In 1989, he graduated from Westminster High School. In 1991 he purchased a Mobil gas station and became a Mobil dealer, however due to an incompetent loan company his SBA loan never funded and lost nearly all of his savings. In 1992, he obtained his real estate license and proceeded to build a career for himself in real estate. Today, Khoshbin is the president and CEO of The Khoshbin Company based out of Irvine, California which has real estate holdings in several states. Television Khoshbin and his wife Leyla were featured in the December 2012 TLC special titled Secrets of a Trophy Wife and on an episode of the American reality television series Shahs of Sunset on Bravo. Author On December 28, 2011, Khoshbin self-published a book entitled Manny Khoshbin's Contrarian Playbook, a guide to real estate investing. Personal life In 2011, Khoshbin married Iranian-Canadian model, actress, TV host and fashion designer Leyla Milani. In 2012 the couple welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Priscilla. Khoshbin is an avid exotic car enthusiast and collector. He was featured in the July 2013 issue of the exotic car and lifestyle magazine called Heavy Hitters Magazine. Car Accident On March 26, 1995, Manny Khoshbin was driving 100 m.p.h. on the San Diego Freeway when he lost control of his convertible Mercedes and plunged off an embankment and hit a tree, killing one of his passengers Babak Behjati. The other passenger suffered minor injuries and Manny was not hurt. Manny was arrested under suspicion of drunk driving.
