Mamacita

Mamacita (born Gladys Darling on March 19, 1983) is an American model, actress, television personality and brand name. She is known for her self-titled calendar “Mamacita” and has appeared in Girls of Lowrider Magazine, ASIS Magazine and is one of the top Latina profiles on MySpace. She was raised in San Diego, CA but currently resides in Hollywood, CA. Her ethnic heritage is mixed. Her father is Canadian and her mother is Mexican.
Early Life
Mamacita was born to Guadalupe Darling and William Darling. Her mother is of Mexican descent (born in Mazatlan, Sinaloa, Mexico). Her father was of Canadian descent(born in Winnipeg, Manitoba), whose family origins have been traced back to Ireland and Whales in the 1800’s. Her father, a business man, met her mother on a business trip to Mazatlan. They married shortly afterward and moved to the United States. Her mother and father divorced when she was about 7 years old.
Modeling Career
After graduating from high school and some college she pursued her career choice in her strongest field; which was business. Working for the same company for several years in the marketing department, Mamacita came up with the business venture that would change her life in a completely new direction.
Raised in the Mexican community and culture she was accustomed to being flirted with and flattered by Latino men. Catcalls and compliments always started or ended with "MAMACITA". Being the business minded woman that's always been her strength she took both names 'Mamacita' and 'Mamacitaz' and filed for ownership through the US Patent and Trademark Office starting her company Mamacita, Inc.

In 2006 Mamacita then set about producing her product, designing a logo and coming up with the slogan “Everyone Loves Mamacita”. She produced her first calendar, ISBN 13978977386819 from scratch. Modeling, organizing, designing, publishing, distributing and promoting. She took it on the road to promote nationwide. On nights and weekends she promoted at concerts, car shows for DUB Magazine, Lowrider Magazine, and Funkmaster Flex, trade shows such as the Magic Show, nightclubs and bars. Without the usual stable of managers or publicists "Mamacita" the hot Latina Urban Model was born and she was being featured in magazines and on radio show interviews coast to coast.

Within the first year out "Mamacita" was able to secure a national distribution deal with RCS Newsways, unheard of in the publishing world. Calendars distributed on newsstands are associated with a corresponding Magazine title. Her 2007 Mamacita Calendar was the first year her calendar was placed on newsstands nationally.

The first year she began the promotion of her Calendar West Coast Hip Hop Artist “Sly Boogy” wrote a rap song about her, titled “Mamacita”. Mamacita has toured all across the United States as a personality model.
In 2008 Mamacita shot a pilot for her own Reality Show Series Titled “Everyone Loves Mamacita” with Seasoned Television Producer Luis Pizarro from famed “Operation Repo” television series.
