Lauren Abraham

Lauren Abraham (born 1980) is an American television personality who is a sportscaster, TV host, producer, and a model.
Early life
A native of Tacoma, Washington, Lauren Krewson Ariel Abraham comes from a combination of Spanish, French, Lebanese, and Irish ancestry. Lauren is one of 12 children, 9 of them being boys. She stepped into her first pair of skis boots very early, and by 6 years old, quickly developed a passion for slalom ski racing. By middle school, having won many ski-racing competitions, she was well on her way to the Junior Olympics. Lauren strapped on her first snowboard in 1994 and became a professional snowboarder 2 years later. She attended Bellarmine Preparatory School in Tacoma, Washington. Finding a new passion in journalism, she was editor-in-chief of her high school art & literary magazine, "Lionize".
Professional Athletic Career
After spending her high school summers snowboarding in various parts of Chile chasing the winter, Lauren made the decision to move to Lake Tahoe in 1998, enrolling in a private 4 year literary arts school in Incline Village NV, Sierra Nevada College. She became a lead journalist at Sierra Nevada's newspaper and also applied her writing skills in presenting a proposal to the school for a collegiate snowboard team. The team was started and she received the first snowboard scholarship in the school's history.  She was ranked fifth in the nation for the AST amateur Boardercross division, and was a featured athlete in numerous magazines such as “Snowboarder” and “European Snowboarder”. Lauren received sponsorships by several companies, including Palmer, Nixon, Ride, Smith, Lib Tech, Da Kine, Vans, and Dragon.
In her junior year in college, she was hired as a stunt double for a Hollywood film at Big Bear, California and an accident left her nearly paralyzed and in a wheelchair.  Already having several surgeries from previous accidents during her snowboard career, the Big Bear accident left her suffering from two severely broken ankles, broken ribs and a shattered nose.  The mishap forced her to withdraw from school, and quit her competitive days on the mountain, as she endured extensive surgeries and two years of physical therapy.  She currently lives with permanent damage by the misfortunate of this accident, giving her chronic arthritis to her left ankle. She eventually hobbled to snowboard competitions, and quickly was hired to the television networks as a new face in action sports.
Today, Lauren is a sponsored snowboarder and rides for The Arbor Collective. Since relocating to Santa Monica, CA in 2009, Lauren has become an ambassador for Stand Up Paddle Boarding, and is currently sponsored by Rogue Stand Up Paddle Boards and Hoven Vision.
TV Host/Sportscaster/Live Emcee/Producer
Lauren started her television career in 2004 hosting her own show on Fox Sports Net named, "Rush Hour." Rush Hour was an action sports and music show, catering to the lifestyle of action sports athletes and was produced by Fusion Entertainment.
Lauren has hosted other shows on Fox Sports Net including "The Best Damn Sports Show Period”, and "The Gorge Games." She's been seen hosting various sports shows on the Versus network and was also co-host to Sal Masakela on Spike TV's "Shred Cafe".
Warren Miller Entertainment approached Lauren to host their travel adventure series, "Destination Wild!".  Lauren signed on as the official Adventure Guide of the series in 2007.  She participated in every activity showcased in “Destination Wild” including snowboarding, rock climbing, skydiving, surfing, fly fishing, mountain biking and 4x4 off-roading.
Lauren is also an established live events commentator both for television and stage shows. Some of her live events include the winter X Games 12 in Aspen for ESPN and ringside as a UFC commentator and co-host to Randy Couture. She was one of the original live free-skiing commentators, hosting the Paul Mitchell Free Ski Tour from 2004-2008. She has also been a live emcee and presenter to musical performers including Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube. In 2011 she was host at The Arnold Sports Festival.
Since relocating to Los Angeles in 2009, Lauren has made her way into mainstream sports with her position as host for “AT&T Uverse Sports”. “”. Lauren co-hosted half the season of the 2012 Monster Energy Supercross Tour, alongside motocross legend, Jim Holley.
Lauren Abraham is now developing & selling her own shows under her production company, Lauren Abraham Entertainment. She signed with IMG World for TV Host/Broadcast representation in 2012.
In 2006 Lauren established the performing arts company, Lauren Abraham Entertainment Live, specializing in dance and cirque arts. From 2006-2009 she was the leading entertainment producer to various casinos in the South Lake Tahoe NV area including Harrah's, Harvey's, Mountbleu Resort, and Nikki Beach in Reno NV. She currently runs her business in Los Angeles and since 2009, has been seen consistently producing entertainment for SBE, Insomniac, French Tuesdays, and The Beverly Hilton.
Model/Spokesperson/Brand Ambassador
In 2007, Lauren was featured as a professional athlete and TV Host in Muscle and Fitness Magazine”. Since then, she has graced the pages of countless other magazines world-wide, including Iron Man, Oxygen, World Physique Magazine, Stand Up Paddle Magazine, Stand Up Paddle Journal, SHAPE Middle East, and has been featured on the cover of Fitness Gurls, Fitnorama UK and Max Muscle Magazine. She has also modeled for athletic companies including Champs Sports, Under Armour and Specialized Mountain Bikes.
In 2009 Lauren was signed on as the lead brand ambassador for Reebok and Cirque du Soleil’s exclusive fitness studio and clothing brand, “Jukari”.  In 2011, the leading online supplement company, “Bodybuilding.com”, signed Lauren as a sponsored athlete, representing the action sports and health and wellness side of their brand. Since then, Lauren has established herself as a contributing journalist and travels to fitness expos worldwide making appearances for the company. Lauren was certified as an official yoga instructor by the Yoga Alliance in 2011, and works as an ambassador to the company, Yoga Earth.
TV Actress
Lauren appeared in three episodes of the syndicated television series “Jury Duty."  She has also been cast several times on the show, CSI Las Vegas, and has made a few commercial appearances.
