Nelson Carvajal (born January 10, 1985) is an American writer, actor and filmmaker from Chicago, Illinois. Personal life After completing his undergrad studies in the Division of Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in May 2007 Nelson moved back home to Chicago and immediately began working in print and in film/TV production. His writings have been featured in publications like The A.V. Club from The Onion newspaper, Spunkybean , Remezcla , Boosh Magazine and the 44th Chicago International Film Festival program. With production, Nelson has worked behind the scenes of "ER" and the Chicago Cubs documentary "We Believe: Chicago and its Cubs." As on screen talent, he has been featured in programs for the History Channel, Animal Planet, NBC and A&E. At the age of 23 he founded the independent film company Bridgework Pictures. Nelson is the oldest of his siblings. His parents separated when he was eight years old. His younger brother Michael attended college at MIT. His mother Maria is from San Jose, Costa Rica and his father--who is also named Nelson--is from Quito, Ecuador.
