Nelio Guerson and Carlos Guerson

Nelio Guerson and Carlos Guerson (Nelio Guerson, born Nelio Inacio Guerson April 27, 1950, Leopoldina, Minas Gerais, Carlos Guerson, born Carlos Augusto Guerson, August 14, 1953, Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais) are brothers and top-artists Pop Rock-influenced rock and roll performers, known for steel-string guitar and bass playing and close harmony singing. Nelio Guerson and Carlos Guerson are the most successful Governador Valadares rock and roll duo. Their greatest period came between 1966 and 1973 with a band called The Fire Boys.
Style
The brothers are both guitarists and bassists, brazilian singer-songwriters. They use a simple vocal, duo harmony - Duet.
The duo's harmony singing had a strong influence on rock and roll groups of the 1960s. Also strongly influenced by The Beatles, The Beach Boys, Simon and Garfunkel, The Everly Brothers, Roberto Carlos, Tonico & Tinoco
Early career
Their father Alcemimo Guerson is a musician. He gave to Nelio Guerson his first guitar and Nelio recorded his first single, "Havai" - Hawai, released in 1966, with the band The Fire Boys, but it flopped. However, many other songs from Nelio Guerson and Carlos Guerson, like "Bailarina" recorded by Sergio Seidel, "Asa Podada" recorded by Rita De Cassia, reached #1 on the pop charts in the Steel Valley region Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais"
Nelio Guerson and Carlos Guerson also toured extensively with the bands The Fire Boys and Escorpioes between 1966 and 1970 and their career was covered by some newspapers from the past like O Gremista , Tribuna Fiel and the radio stations Radio Por Um Mundo Melhor, Radio Imparsom
The 1970s
They continued to have hits like "Forro Dos Cumpadre", "Putzgrila A Lourinha Ta Linda", "Happy Birthday" - a new version of Happy Birthday To You, "Lourinha Do Nariz De Tucano", "My Guitar", when they break-up of The Fire Boys.
After break-up of The Fire Boys
After this period, Nelio Guerson and Carlos Guerson wrote many important songs like "American Samba" "My Money" (1983) . They also wrote "Calcinha Vermelha", "Gatinha Tete" (1984) etc.
In 2008 a compilation entitled "Only Top Hits" was released. This consists of tracks recorded before 1972 and some after 1985.
They still perform occasionally. In 2007 they took part in a show with The Fire Boys at Illusion Sport Club in Governador Valadares, MG Brazil. The event was covered by TV Leste , interviews at TV Rio Doce , Newspaper Diario Do Rio Doce , Jornal De Domingo and interviews at Radio Transamerica
Today, Nelio Guerson and Carlos Guerson are involved with their own musical style producing songs like "River Flows", "Another Hero", "Angel", "Coracao Tambor", "Lua Prateada","I Surrender".
