Prof. Dr. Nek Muhammad Shaikh was born in Shikarpur and after completion his studies he appointed at many institution currently he is Associate Professor at Department of Physics, University of Sindh, Jamshoro, Pakistan.

He completed Bachelors in Science in 1991 from Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur, Pakistan and Masters in Physics in 1993 form Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan and One Year Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science in 2002 from University of Sindh, Jamshoro, Pakistan and PhD in Laser spectroscopy in 2007
Thesis Title "Plasma Diagnostics of Zn, Cd and Hg using Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy" Atomic and Molecular Physics Laboratory, Department of Physics, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan.
