Negative Zone Prison Alpha

Negative Zone Prison Alpha is the name of a fictional prison in Marvel Comics. It is also referred to as Prison 42, Wonderland, and Fantasy Island.
History
When it came to the Civil War storyline, a new maximum-security prison for superpowered individuals was created by the government in the very place that no superhuman could escape from unaided...the Negative Zone. The Prison was nicknamed 'Fantasy Island' by its inmates and "Prison 42" by its designers Tony Stark & Reed Richards, as it had been their 42nd idea out of a hundred for 'A Safer America' after the Stamford Disaster. Although it suffered one major breakout from the Secret Avengers, causing the release of all of its unregistered superheroes, Tom Brevoort has stated that 'Project 42' remains a prison for particularly powerful supervillains, while for regulars 'There's still the Raft and Riker's Island.'
It was later revealed in Civil War: Front Line that it had never been intended for anyone other than supervillains, and that the heroes imprisoned there would have been released once the war was over.
In the War of Kings storyline, the Negative Zone prison is later attacked by Blastaar.

Television
* In The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes episode "Some Assembly Required", Iron Man mentioned that he's been working with Mister Fantastic on building a prison in the Negative Zone to contain the escaped supervillains after the mass-breakouts at the Vault, the Cube, the Big House, and the Raft. The Negative Zone Prison Alpha debuts in "The Man Who Stole Tomorrow." All the guards are Ultron models (which are the same as the Ultron Synthezoids that were used at the Big House). Known inmates at the Negative Zone Prison Alpha are Blizzard, Mandrill, Kang the Conqueror, Living Laser, Baron Zemo, Abomination, Crimson Dynamo, Executioner, Mar-Vell, Ronan the Accuser, some Kree soldiers, Leader, Radioactive Man, Absorbing Man, 3 A.I.M. agents, Veranke, and most of the Skrulls. Following the incident with Ultron as seen in "The Ultron Imperative," the Ultron Guards were replaced with S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents. In "Assault on 42," Annihilus leads his Annihilation Wave in an attack on Prison 42 where one of its members makes off with its warden. Because of the numbers of the Annihilation Wave, the Avengers had to release some of the inmates in order to fight them. During the attack, the Annihilation Wave killed Blizzard, Radioactive Man, Whirlwind, and the 3 A.I.M. agents. After Annihilus was defeated, the S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents for the next guard shift arrive. In the aftermath of the attack, a new prison called the Hydro-Base was created in New York Harbor where some of the prisoners were transferred to while Prison 42 was being repaired.
Video games
* In Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2, the Negative Zone plays an important part. It contains "Prison 42", the prison for unregistered heroes and the nanite-controlled supervillains. It is the place where the Fold has first become active. After the player's team infiltrate the prison to acquire nanite samples that can be used to devise a cure for the Fold, Nick Fury had to self-destruct Prison 42 to keep the Fold from invading Earth when Captain America's attempts to cause a distraction accidentally release waves of Fold-infected superhumans. A news cutscene in either of the two endings mentioned confirmation of Prison 42's destruction.
