The Halo P-12 is a forthcoming pump-action bullpup shotgun featuring a large magazine, in-line with the barrel much like that found on the FN P-90. The magazine was designed to accept only 2¾" shotgun shells. Three inch shells can be individually loaded and fired, but 3½" shells are not accepted, as the design had to consider weight and the overall width of the weapon (which must be at least as wide as the shells are long due to the magazine geometry). The P-12 has an overall length of around . It weighs less than fully loaded. The weapon ejects from the bottom, and has a removable trigger pack. It is currently being designed by Monolith Arms, by the same people that started its development at Halo Mfg. The new weapon will have an overall improvement over the original design. A new prototype is expected to be released in summer 2008.
