Navcane

Navcane is one of the pioneer ICT-based Mobility solutions for blind people invented by students of Information Technology University, Lahore. This small device is attachable to white cane of visually impaired people to help them in Navigation and move from one place to another.
History
According to recent data, Visual impairment is one of the big problems of the World. Almost two hundred and eighty-five million people are visually impaired in the world who are facing lots of problems in their daily life. Navigation Problem in one of the big problem which imposed limits on their mobility. Students of ICT4D in their research Project have invented Navcane to provide an independent life to these people.

* Navcane detects all obstacles via ultrasonic sensor
* Vibration in hand will alert the user to avoid obstacles and change path.
* Servomotor via Magnetometer guides user to avoid deviating and keep on saved track.
* Easily Rechargeable battery
* Long battery timing can keep device active up to 24 hours.
Researchers have claimed that in upcoming days addition of more features and beta product launch will make it more efficient and best ever solution to provide mobility for blind people.
