The company’s HT-1650 massage chair, which is actually manufactured in China, is marketed under the names of Human Touch, iJoy, Acurvile, and Perfect Chair brand names.  It won the prestigious 2009 ADEX award for design excellence and is showcased as a "Platinum" winner. It was also honored with the 2007 Advancing Design and Innovation (ADI) Award. It has features very similar to many others reviewed which can be found on the Internet.  They list their massage techniques as being rolling, percussion, compression, kneading, seat, and heat.  In this way all body parts receive the same soothing action.  A remote control, rather than a joy stick like some other chair have, makes changing settings easy even from a reclining position.  In addition to the warm-up to high intensity levels, they also have eight automatic massage programs as follows:

•    Full Body and Sore Muscle Relief
•    Sports and Back Therapy
•    Leg, Foot, and Hip Therapy
•    Air-Impulse Massage in the Seat
•    Neck/Shoulders Relief
•    After-Work Stretch
•    Morning Wake-Up
•    Nighttime Soothing
•    Massage Demonstration (which runs through each feature and function).  This is in contrast to a review by BIZ Reviews which shows 2 programs and 3 settings for these chairs.


The chair comes in black or dark chocolate with a covering of leather match which gives a leather look, but with more durability.  The warranty on these chairs is considered limited, but actually covers many of the things that one might expect in any product.  A new chair will receive free field service in the first 90 days, which is rare compared to many other manufacturers; factory service is provided for 1 year; parts for 3 years; and any structural problems will be corrected if occurring within 5 years.
There are no warnings in their manual regarding the use of the chair by people with health problems.  It is recommended, however, that anyone with a health condition consult their physician before making a purchase.

The Better Business gives them an “A-“rating and, for a company with this long history, this is unusual.  The Human Touch HT-1650 Robotic Massage Chair received a few complaints regarding refunds, refusing to make adjustments, and failure to perform, but these were handled satisfactorily by the company who maintain a highly trained staff of technicians and customer service representatives who strive to ensure that each user remains a satisfied customer.
