Nathan Simmons Nathan Simmons (September 27, 1960 - November 27, 2006) was an African American preacher and prophet. Simmons pastored the Citadel of Hope Church of God in Christ until he claimed Jesus Christ called him to prophesy to the Church of God in Christ. Even though he had become world famous, he said he didn't want fame and fortune, but he wanted to do what God told him. Nathan Simmons met a woman (Angelic D. Simmons) at a church he was preaching at and married her and had two daughters, Victoria & Alexis. He died at the age of 46 on November 27, 2006 of an unspecified illness.
