Nappyafro.com

nappyafro.com (Spelled with a lower case "n") is an American Hip-Hop/Rap website that specializes in reviews of Hip-Hop music. The slogan for the site is "Hip-Hop Reviews & More" and uses old school images of Pam Grier (particularly ones with her sporting afros) in its various banners. The website also offers articles about and pertaining to Hip-Hop, a weekly "Song Of The Week" column, and lists of what best in Hip-Hop/Rap titled "The Greatest" among other things. In the about section of the site, staff member B-Easy stated that nappyafro.com wants to stay simple and focused unlike popular Hip-Hop/ Rap websites. It was founded by staff members King Jerm and B-Easy on January 15th 2007.

Staff members

nappyafro.com focuses not only on the music but who reviews that music. While every review is stood behind by the site, it is particular to the staff member. The site originally went to launch with five staff members: B-Easy, King Jerm, Kuntry K, Blood, and Slik P. Kuntry K and Slik P had to leave before the launch date for personal reasons. The remaining three staff members went on to lay the foundation for the site. Down the line two more staff members were added, Dark Angel (the lone female) and Canis Canem. Both were much needed contributors to the site. Blood later had to resign because of his work schedule. Soon after, Dark Angel and Canis Canem were dismissed due to conduct detrimental to the success of the website. Slik P later returned only to leave again and P-Body was added. Thic Flair was the last to be added to the staff. The current line up is B-Easy, King Jerm, P-Body, and Thic Flair.

Site redesigns

Since the founders of the nappyafro.com were lacking in skills of web design and programming knowledge, the site has been redesigned numerous times. It’s currently in its 5th version.
