Nadine Milroy-Sloan

Nadine Milroy-Sloan (born Grimsby, England, UK, 21 August 1973) is a British woman who was convicted of two counts of perverting the course of justice in the United Kingdom in 2003 for falsely accusing Neil and Christine Hamilton of rape.
She was sentenced to three years in jail, described as the "toughest sentence ever passed on a woman who has made a false accusation of rape" . Fearing a civil action for libel, she declared herself bankrupt.
Background
Born in Grimsby, England, she had previously been sentenced to one year of probation for assault occasioning actual bodily harm after pleading guilty to attacking a woman outside a nightclub and kicking her in the face as she lay on the ground . She was also ordered to pay £250 compensation.
