Nadia Zaffar born in Karachi, is an anchor and producer for Dawn News, Pakistan's first English-language TV news channel. Prior to joining Dawn News, Nadia worked for Business Plus in Pakistan as a senior producer, where she was responsible for current affairs production on social and economic topics of national importance. Popular programs she produced are Investigative Series, Bazaar and E-Biz. Education Nadia completed her O Levels from St. Joseph’s Convent School and her A Levels from Karachi Grammar School in Karachi and went to pursue her Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations and Film Studies from Mount Holyoke College Massachusetts USA. Pakistan Elections 2008 As a producer at Dawn News TV, Nadia produced the election transmission to provide live and up-to-date results and analysis of the elections held in Pakistan in February 2008. MHC Model United Nations While at Mount Holyoke College, Nadia was chosen as the MoBoard Member and Chair for the year 2003-2004. She was also the Board Member, Training Coordinator, 2002-2003. As a chair, she organized training workshops for public speaking, parliamentary procedure and resolution writing. She simulated Conferences and discussed pertinent issues facing the UN and attended Model United Nations Conferences modeled on the system of the United Nations. Before becoming the chair at MoBoard, she was also the Chair of Summit on International Terrorism in 2001-2002, and the board member of South Asian Conference. Short movies Nadia is also the producer of two short movies, Talk it Out-Conversations with South Asian American Women, A Conversation which she produced in 2002. New York Times During her studies, Nadia also interned for New York Times Television for a short documentary on state of Pakistani Women in June 2003.
