Nabi Raza Mir () is an Islamic scholar. He studied in Hawza of Qom for 15 years and has earned the title of "Hujjat al-Islam". Nabi Mir also studied at University of Tehran in parallel and received a PhD in Theology and Philosophy. He is currently an Imam of SABA Center Other names Nabi Raza Mir also goes by the following names/titles: Nabi Raza Abidi, Nabi R. Mir, Moulana Nabi Raza Abidi, Syed Abidi, Hajiagha Abedi, Dr. Abidi, Hujjat al-Islam Nabi Raza Abidi. Early years Nabi Raza Mir was born and raised in Alipur, Karnataka, India, by a religious family. Since childhood he had deep passion to study Islam. At the age of 14, his father agreed to send him to Iran where he would study in Hawza of Qom for the next 15 years. Nabi Mir primarily focused on philosophy while studying in Hawza. His deep interest in Philosophy and Theology became evident to Ayatollah Ja'far Sobhani upon which Ayatollah Lankarani recommended one of the dean at University of Tehran to enroll Nabi Mir into the Philosophy department. Hence Nabi Mir studied both at Hawza of Qom as well as University of Tehran in parallel and received his PhD in Philosophy and Theology from the University of Tehran. After his education in Iran, he continued his life with business in different countries such as Dubai and Japan. In Japan he also founded a Hussainia and delivered speeches in Persian, Urdu, and Arabic languages. In 2002 he moved to United States to take the position of resident Alim at SABA. Leadership at SABA Center Nabi Raza Mir has been the resident Alim of SABA Center since 2002. He leads congressional prayer and delivers speeches at Thursday nights at SABA and also conducts Friday prayer as well as the Friday sermon. Nabi Mir directs most activities and programs held at Saba such as the Youth programs, burial services, Hajj, matrimonial services, and Sunday School. Books Nabi Raza Mir has written a few books in Farsi while studying in Iran. However he has not yet written a book in English. He has, however, written a Hajj guide book. Muslim Congress Nabi Mir participated and lectured in the annual Muslim Congress. He conducted a Q&A session during the program as well
