Javad Dargahi (born Tehran, Iran) is a professor based at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec in Canada. Dargahi earned his PhD while studying in England. Studies Dargahi studied mainly in Scotland from 1975 to 2004, the latter being the year he achieved his PhD. Dargahi's book, Artificial Tactile Sensing in Biomedical Engineering, was released and was the first runner-up in the Canadian PROSE Awards. Dargahi is currently working on a second book to be written solely on his own. Personal life Dargahi is married to Elahe Mozafarri, who is studying to get her own PhD at Concordia University. He is well known and respected around the campus. Many students—including those who do not take his course or class—appreciate Dargahi's knowledge.
