N. S. Venkatakrishnan

N. S. Venkatakrishnan; male, deceased; was a native of Palghat, a founding member of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India, a published scholar of Sanskrit, and a life-long educator. He was also an expert, and worked extensively, in the fields of software programming, time and motion study, management as well as cultivation, and manufacturing, of jute and tea.
He earned and held, amongst others, a Bachelors' degree in Law and a ' in Physics.
He was, for long many years, actively associated with many bodies such as Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Tocklai Tea Research Centre and the Indian Tea Association.
He was also a crossword aficionado, a science-fiction buff, an armchair mathematician, and appreciated authors like A P Herbert and C. Northcote Parkinson.
He died sometime after 1996.
