My Tour is an independent feature-length rockumentary by Brian Banks. The entire movie was shot by Banks with one camera - Banks was a one man production crew; the producer, the editor and cameraman. Plot & theme The subject matter of 'My Tour' are the bands that Banks meets on a journey that takes him from Hollywood to the Arctic Circle. Banks travels meeting bands at concerts, showcase shows and music festivals. Behind-the-scenes footage is combined with interviews. The central theme of the documentary is the live music rock scene in this decade. Bands talk about how they go about promoting themselves, with regular references to the the Internet and MySpace.
