My Name is Jerry is an American comedy-drama film directed by Morgan Mead, and written by David Hamilton based on a story by Mead and Andrew Janoch. My Name is Jerry is an independently produced film starring actor Doug Jones. Doug’s most notable roles include Pan in Pan’s Labyrinth, the Silver Surfer in Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer and Abe Sapien in the Hellboy series. Jones is a Ball State University alumnus and was raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. My Name is Jerry is a Clothespin Productions and Ball State University production. Although the film is professionally produced, it will also be a hands-on learning experience for students at Ball State University. The film’s director Morgan Mead is a former Ball State student, and the film’s writer David Hamilton is a Ball State alumnus. The final film crew consists of over 30 students working alongside professionals in a variety of roles.
Plot
Jerry Arthur is a 40-something guy who is stuck in a dead-end door-to-door sales job for a local publishing company, where the only sales pitch he’s usually able to get out before having the door slammed in his face is, “My name is Jerry.” He also has a strained relationship with his teenage daughter, Trisha. Jerry’s life changes when he stumbles into the wrong house on his way to a party and meets 20-something punk rocker Jordan and her crew. Jordan creates a spark in Jerry’s once-boring daily routine when she takes him on a journey through her world that brings life back into his job and his relationships.

Production
My Name is Jerry is currently in pre-production and finalizing casting. Filming will begin on July 14th, 2008. The majority of filming and production will take place in Muncie, Indiana.
