Multiple oscillation mechanism

Multiple oscillation mechanism is a device designed to convert each Circular motion into multiple oscillations. The Mechanism usually comprises a rotating wheel, axially extended pins near the outer and the inner periphery of the wheel, and a double armed lever opposed to the wheel. The double armed lever is located between the outer and inner periphery of the wheel.
Principle of operation
Multiple oscillation mechanism can be used for repeated back-and-forth motion for each rotation. In this mechanism, the axially extended pins of the wheel would push forward the double armed lever to cause oscillation movement. When the wheel starts to rotate, the double armed lever is oscillated. as the lever continues to oscillate, the connecting rod is reciprocated because the upper arm of the lever is pivotally linked to the connecting rod.
Applications
This mechanism can be widely used in all machinery. They include a variety of compressors, machine tools, Reciprocating saws, printing control mechanisms, sewing machines etc.,
