Ulster Peoples Voice is an online newspaper operating from Northern Ireland. Launched in March 2013, its editor is John Muir, a former member of the security forces. It is based on the satirical Private Eye magazine and claims not to be biased in favour of either loyalism or republicanism. The paper cites its aims being to give the ordinary working-class people of Northern Ireland an opportunity to submit their own stories and engage in debate online. The paper also recounts Northern Irish history including the Troubles; it highlights corruption in government and questions the actions of the police and justice system covering subjects the mainstream media often fail to probe in depth. There is also a sports section. As of April 2013 it offers free advertisements to help the local economy for small businesses.
