Motoroids is a brand owned by Motoroids Auto Infoservices Pvt Ltd. The company was established in August 2009 by Amit Chhangani, former deputy-editor at Bike India and Car India magazine at Next Gen Publishing Ltd. The website of the company, www.motoroids.com is home to India's first and only bike e-magazine called Motoroids2. While the Motoroids site deals with news and reviews of both cars and motorcycles, Motoroids2 is a two-wheeler specific magazine.
The Motoroids2 e-magazine was one of India's first 'free' downloadable magazines - which meant the user did not have to pay any subscription fee or sticker price. Unlike other websites that have newsletters and mid-week mailers, the Motoroids2 e-mag set itself apart as a proper 70-90 page downloadable document in PDF format. Within months of their commencement, Motoroids2 e-mag came to be known for its industry-independent, honest reviews and unique stories and ideas. It became popular amongst the Indian biking community as the magazine for the bikers, by fellow bikers and automotive enthusiasts. When they began, Motoroids.com was a basic page that only had links to the Motoroids2 e-mag downloadable file. But as time passed, the website turned into a full fleged automotive portal for news from India.
