Fictional character biography
Morrat is a warlord in the Skrull army. After the defeat of Super-Skrull (who was posing as Franklin Storm), Warlord Morrat came up with the idea to strap an energy projector on the real Franklin Storm's chest which will activate when he saw the Fantastic Four. The plan fails, but Storm dies.
While on a hunting expedition with his men and his fiancée the Skrull princess Anelle, Morrat captures the currently-depowered Fantastic Four, intending to kill them and start a revolution against the emperor so he could rule instead. Before the team could be executed, Mister Fantastic manages to reactivate their powers. The emperor then arrives, strips Morrat of his rank, and orders his men to kill him. Anelle jumps in front of him in an attempt to save his life, but the Invisible Woman protects her with a force field and the laser kills Morrat anyway. When Reed reveals that Susan has saved his daughter, the emperor allows them one request. They ask for the life of the one responsible for Franklin Storm's death, and the emperor presents them with Morrat's body, settling their debt and dismissing the earthlings back to the safety of their planet.
