Morpheous also known as "Lord Morpheous", born February 11, 1969 in Burlington, Ontario Canada, is currently living in Toronto, Canada. He is an accomplished photographer, best selling Canadian author and sex educator. Growing up in a working class family which owned a trucking company and later on a horse farm, the love of hard work was instilled in him from a very early age. His earlier years spent on a farm contributed to his well received hands-on approach to teaching and his unique troubleshooting skills in rope bondage and other BDSM skill sets. Morpheous' enjoyment of teaching BDSM has led him to many adventures and venues throughout the world. Photography Morpheous brings a bold and unparalleled look into the erotic world of rope bondage. His work has been showcased across North America, has been represented in mainstream festivals such as the Scotiabank CONTACT Photography Festival and has been used for advertising of the social kink network FetLife as well as where he has taught bondage seminars since 2006. Morpheous' photography is an instrumental teaching aid to demonstrating techniques in his book How to Be Kinky. This book is geared toward couples and singles, dominants and submissives and is packed with tips and anecdotes from some of the world's most well-known BDSM aficionados. Morpheous stresses the importance of fun as well as safety when engaging in BDSM activities and is known to say "If you're going to be bad, be good at it!" Morpheous' second book is slated to be released in the winter of 2011 and promises to enlighten even the most experienced BDSM enthusiast. Alternative Sex Education His B. Ed with a specialization in Adult Education married his love for education and his affinity for Kink and BDSM. He began teaching kink education in 2000 in an attempt to bring safety to the consensual activities the BDSM community engage in and officially coined the term in use in the rope bondage community: "Microbondage". He also holds an Honors B.A. in Visual Arts. Both his degrees are from The University of Western Ontario. Morpheous began teaching in 1998 at Come As You Are, a Co-operative Sex Shop and Education Centre in Toronto as part of their open call to experts in alternative sexual education. Morpheous has hosted a renegade event during the Nuit Blanche Festival in Toronto which includes 12 hours of non-stop beautiful rope bondage and rope suspension. This installation is not on the Nuit Blanche artists' index but it is widely anticipated and has been known to attract more than 3,000 visitors in 12 hours.
